How much can I do for free?
Everything you need to make a pattern by hand, up to 300 by 300 stitches, and 3 patterns to print with a free account, each as often as you like, then 10 credits for each pattern after. Free patterns are for your own stitching, and selling needs Plus or Studio. Free PDFs carry a small "Made with FellowStitch" line.
Do I need an account? Where does my work go?
You can start editing without an account. Work autosaves in this browser; clearing site data can remove it. Save a .fsp file to disk for a backup or to move it to another computer. On Plus and Studio your patterns also save to your account and open on any computer. An account is needed to download a PDF, to generate and for a paid plan.
Can I sell my patterns and finished pieces?
On Plus and Studio, yes, the pattern file and the finished piece, with no sales cap. A PDF you download while paying stays yours to sell after the plan ends. Free PDFs are for your own stitching. You need the rights to any artwork you bring. Read the full licence.
How do credits work?
One pattern costs 10 credits, and four takes on one idea cost 20. A free account gets 20 welcome credits once. Plus credits reset each month or year, and Studio carries up to 1,000 unused credits into the next. Any account can buy a pack of credits, from 100 for $7.99. Welcome and pack credits stay in your wallet without expiry. Failed or refused generations return their credits.
What happens if I cancel a paid plan?
Your plan continues until the end of the paid period. The editor stays available, and every PDF you downloaded while paying stays yours to sell. New PDFs carry the "Made with FellowStitch" line again, are for your own stitching, and a pattern not yet printed on the free plan counts toward the 3 free patterns. Your included allowance ends; welcome and purchased wallet credits remain.
