Who we are
We are FellowStitch, at fellowstitch.com.
You can reach us at support@fellowstitch.com.
Terms
These are the terms of sale as well as the terms of use, because a subscription bought online is a contract and the law says what has to be in it. Everything below carries the article it comes from, so a lawyer can check each line against the source rather than read the whole thing cold.
Terms, part one
Two businesses are involved in a payment here, and the one on your card statement is not the one that made the software. The law says we have to be clear about that.
We are FellowStitch, at fellowstitch.com.
You can reach us at support@fellowstitch.com.
Payments are handled by Stripe. For subscriptions and credit packs, Stripe's affiliate Sold through Link, LLC is the merchant of record. That means it is the business you legally buy from for tax purposes, it issues your receipt in its own name, and it collects the VAT.
On your card statement the charge appears as LINK.COM. Your receipts, renewal reminders and refund notices come from Link rather than from us.
Everything about the product itself stays with us: what it does, whether it works, the licences below, and any refund the law entitles you to.
Terms, part two
Prices and credits match the Pricing page.
The editor is free and needs no account. A free account adds 3 patterns to print and 20 welcome credits, each granted once. The credits never expire. After the 3, each further pattern costs 10 credits to print.
Plus is 11.99 a month or 119.90 a year and carries 250 credits a billing period. Studio is 19.99 a month or 199.90 a year and carries 500 credits a billing period. Every price includes VAT, so the number you see is the number you are charged.
Any account can buy extra credits in one-off packs: 100 for 6.99, 250 for 14.99 or 500 for 27.99. A pack never expires.
Your currency may differ from euros depending on where you are. That is a currency conversion, not a price set for you personally by a machine.
Access starts immediately. Credits land when the invoice is paid.
The editor runs in your browser. On a free account your patterns are saved in that browser only, which means they are on that one computer and clearing your browser data removes them. Paid plans store patterns in the cloud so they open anywhere you sign in.
On the free plan, printing a pattern needs a free account, and the account prints 3 patterns free. After those, each pattern costs 10 credits. You pay once per pattern: it then prints as often as you like, in every edition, with or without backstitch, including after you change it. PDFs saved while on a paid plan do not count toward the 3.
A PDF saved on the free plan carries the line "Made with FellowStitch" at the foot of the page. Plus and Studio save as many PDFs as you want and leave the line off. Nothing is ever printed across the chart itself.
Patterns can be saved as .fsp files, exported as OXS for WinStitch and MacStitch, and printed to PDF that Pattern Keeper can read.
A subscription renews by itself until you stop it. A monthly plan commits you to the month you have paid for, and a yearly plan to the year you have paid for.
How to stop it is in the cancelling section below.
Terms, part three
If you are a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase without giving a reason. The fourteen days run from the day you buy, for both a subscription and a credit pack.
To withdraw, tell us in a clear statement. You can use the model form at the foot of this page, or just write to support@fellowstitch.com.
We refund within fourteen days of being told, by the same means you paid.
A subscription cannot be made non-refundable by any wording, ours included. If you withdraw part-way through a paid period, you pay for the part you have had and we refund the rest.
Credits you have already spent count as part of what you have had. Credits you have not spent come back to us with the refund.
A credit pack is digital content, and it is delivered the moment you buy it. You lose the fourteen-day right on it only if, at the moment of buying, you both ask us to deliver it immediately and acknowledge that asking costs you the right to withdraw.
That happens with a tick box at checkout, and the confirmation email repeats it. A sentence buried in these terms does nothing on its own.
If we fail to tell you about this right, the fourteen days become twelve months.
Terms, part four
Two routes. In your account panel here, or on link.com, where Link lets you cancel or change any subscription you bought through it. If you checked out as a guest, Link will ask you to make an account first.
Cancelling stops the renewal. It does not end the plan you have paid for. That runs to the end of its period, and then the account drops to free.
Your patterns stay readable and downloadable as .fsp files after that. We do not hold your work hostage.
Credits are not exchanged for money. A refunded purchase takes back the credits from that purchase that you have not spent, and never takes you below zero.
One pattern costs 10 credits. A pattern that fails or is refused gives its credits back. A prompt we refuse costs nothing.
Plus credits do not carry over from one billing period to the next. Studio carries up to 1,000 unused credits over. Welcome credits and packs never expire.
Link can refund you within sixty days if something was not delivered, was significantly not as described, or was corrupted, and for any payment you did not authorise. It refuses refunds for changing your mind and for an unused subscription.
Where our policy is stricter than that, Link's wins. This page is written to be at least as generous.
Write to us first at support@fellowstitch.com.
If that does not settle it, the consumer body in the country where you live can help, and the courts there stay open to you.
There is no longer an EU online dispute resolution platform. It was retired in July 2025, and any site still linking to it is out of date.
Terms, part five
A pattern you download as a PDF while on Plus or Studio is yours to sell. You can sell the pattern PDF and anything you stitch from it, anywhere, as many times as you like, and you do not have to credit us.
This does not expire. A PDF you downloaded while paying stays sellable after the plan ends.
A PDF downloaded on the free plan, including one paid for with credits, is for personal use. You can stitch it and give the finished piece as a gift. You cannot sell the file, share it, post it publicly, or sell anything you stitch from it. It carries the line "Made with FellowStitch" at the foot of the page, and Plus and Studio leave it off.
You cannot resell FellowStitch itself, or pass off the app or its symbol set as your own.
You are responsible for the images you bring. Uploading a photograph means you are telling us you have the right to use it.
Terms, part six
Generated patterns are made with an AI system supplied by Google, through its Gemini API.
Google does not claim ownership of what it generates, and it may generate the same or a similar pattern for somebody else. So we cannot promise your pattern is unique, and nobody honestly can.
We give you permission to use what you make, and on Plus and Studio to sell it. We cannot give you copyright over it. Whether something made by AI can be copyrighted at all is unsettled and differs by country, so if that matters to your business, take advice.
It will not make anything sexual involving children, which has no exceptions however it is worded. It also refuses sexual content generally, graphic violence and gore, anything that degrades a group of people including hate symbols, a recognisable real person, and instructions or diagrams for making a weapon, an explosive or a drug.
It deliberately does allow the subjects cross stitch is full of that sit next to that list: skulls and sugar skulls, hunting scenes, military and historical uniforms and regimental badges, poppies and war memorials, anatomical hearts, classical nudes when you are reproducing a painting, toy weapons in a nursery sampler, traditional religious figures and iconography, Halloween, and gothic or tattoo styling. When it is unsure about an ordinary craft subject, it allows it.
It does not refuse characters, logos or brands that belong to somebody else. The rights in those stay with their owners, and selling a pattern of one may need the owner's permission. That is yours to check before you sell.
You also have to keep to Google's own rules for generative AI, which forbid among other things material sexualising children, impersonating a real person to deceive, and claiming an AI image was made by a human in order to deceive. Our list is stricter than Google's in places, and where it is, ours applies.
A refused prompt costs you nothing. Five refusals in twenty-four hours locks the generator for a day. A person can be asked to look at a refusal.
Terms, part seven
You must be at least 18 to have an account.
The pattern generator runs on Google's Gemini, and Google does not allow it in a service aimed at or likely to be used by people under 18. The editor without an account collects nothing and has no age limit.
You can close your account at any time. We can close it if you break these terms.
Either way you can download your patterns as .fsp files first, free and without us getting in the way.
After it closes, your account and your cloud patterns are deleted within 30 days, and unspent credits end with it. Payment records are kept only as long as tax and bookkeeping law requires. The privacy page lists every period.
In the two weeks after you make an account, we may email you a few tips on making patterns with the editor, and examples of what it does.
You can stop tip and offer emails at any time, from the link in any of them or from the Tips and offers switch in your account settings. Sign-in emails and receipts still come.
Terms, part eight
We can fix, improve and update the service, and we will keep it working for as long as you are paying for it.
Changing it beyond that is allowed only for a good reason, at no extra cost to you, and with notice. If a change makes the service worse for you in more than a minor way, we tell you in advance in writing and you can end the contract free of charge within thirty days.
A term saying we can change anything at any time is not allowed and is not what this says.
The legal guarantee of conformity applies to digital services. The service has to be fit for what it is for, as good as services of this kind normally are, and the same as any preview or trial we showed you.
It also has to match what we say about it in our advertising. That is the legal reason nothing on this website claims something the product does not do.
If it does not conform, we put it right, and if we cannot, you get a proportionate refund for the period it was broken and for anything you have prepaid.
These terms follow the consumer law of the country you live in, and you can take a dispute to the courts where you live.
Copy it into an email to support@fellowstitch.com, or write in your own words. Using it is optional.
