Anchor 853Avocado VY LT

Anchor 853 is #91886B, RGB 145 136 107. The three beside it are the closest of the 445 Anchor threads, measured the way the editor measures a colour match.

The same colour in DMC, Madeira and Cosmo

Range	Code	Colour	How close	Distance
DMC	3023	Elephant	hard to tell apart	2.8
Madeira	2109	Drab Brown LT	a visible step away	8.5
Cosmo	714	no name	close	3.3

Each one is the nearest thread that range has, picked by measurement rather than read off a maker's conversion chart. The number is how far apart the two colours are on the scale the editor uses to match a thread to a picture; under 1 and nobody could tell them apart.

The colour on this page is our screen value for the thread, not the maker's. No thread maker publishes one, so every chart on the web is somebody's estimate, this one included. Use it to compare shades against each other, and buy from a real shade card.
