1406
Hunter Green Med
Beside the three Madeira threads closest to it, so the only thing changing is the colour.
Madeira 1406 is #33421B, RGB 51 66 27. The three beside it are the closest of the 366 Madeira threads, measured the way the editor measures a colour match.
The same colour in DMC, Anchor and Cosmo
| Range | Code | Colour | How close | Distance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DMC | 3345 | Spinach | close | 3.4 |
| Anchor | 246 | Pistachio Green VY D | close | 4.3 |
| Cosmo | 926 | no name | hard to tell apart | 2.4 |
Each one is the nearest thread that range has, picked by measurement rather than read off a maker's conversion chart. The number is how far apart the two colours are on the scale the editor uses to match a thread to a picture; under 1 and nobody could tell them apart.
The colour on this page is our screen value for the thread, not the maker's. No thread maker publishes one, so every chart on the web is somebody's estimate, this one included. Use it to compare shades against each other, and buy from a real shade card.
